SUSTAINABILITY
Read on for what sustainability really means to us, what we already do in this area and what we plan to implement going forward.
GETTING THERE IS HALF THE FUN
A VISION FOR A BETTER TOMORROW
We acknowledge our potential and undertake to do our bit in a more sustainable world. We aim to produce less waste and make our operations more sustainable – throughout the entire supply chain. From production to packaging to retail delivery. Of course, our efforts continue, but we are striving step by step to be more future-proof.
THERE IS NO PLAN(ET) B!
At ANNY, we care about the Earth’s future!
Developing and improving is our ongoing quest. In the process, we want to improve our sustainability whenever possible. Read more here about what we are already doing in this area today:
USE OF FSC-CERTIFIED AND CLIMATE NEUTRAL FOLDING CARTONS
We use FSC-certified paper for all our ANNY folding boxes. We also use mineral-oil-free printing inks, most of which are made from renewable raw materials
and made using zero cobalt.
CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP
We are proud to say that 272 members of our company workforce already work from home in the region.
CLIMATE-NEUTRAL COMPANY
Our company is climate-neutral. We work with Climate Partner, which manufactures clean cooking stoves through a local cooperative in Rwanda, on a climate protection project to offset our company’s carbon footprint. Traditionally, families here cook over a three-stone fire. With that in mind, using cooking stoves helps households cut their wood consumption considerably and thus protect Nyungwe Forest National Park from deforestation.
USE OF RECYCLING PAPER
The bubble wrap, which serves as the filling material in our ANNY product shipping, has been switched to recycled paper.
COMMITMENT
Since 2008, ANNY has been generating 1.2 million kwH of solar energy through panels on our company roof.
CO² REDUCTION
We can reduce CO2 emissions by switching from DHL to DHL Go Green.
HIGH STANDARDS, HIGH VALUES
ANNY pledges to meet its social, ecological and economic responsibilities for employees, customers and future generations. With our values in mind, greater transparency, responsibility and innovative capability, we want to further refine our processes and products step by step.

OUR COMMITMENT TO A GREEN WORLD
SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT TRANSPORT PACKAGING
Company-wide, sustainability matters to ANNY throughout the entire value chain. This also designing our transport packaging to be more sustainable – not only at ANNY, but also our partners’ sites. In this way, we strive ceaselessly to identify new savings potential and implement material changes accordingly.
SUSTAINABILITY OFFICE
We have set up a sustainability staff position to refocus even more closely on this topic with ANNY, upholding our strong commitment and driving us forward as we progress. In addition, we already have sustainability ambassadors in the departments for whom sustainability is a value they live and breathe, both personally and professionally.
SUSTAINABILITY PROJECT PRODUCT PACKAGING
ANNY product and brand management experts are currently refining a guideline for more sustainable product packaging. In the process, the project team is dealing with how plastics are handled going forward, the recyclability of our packaging and tools for assessing.
MORE TRANSPARENCY WITH OUR
SUSTAINABILITY REPORT
With our sustainability report, we create more transparency for our customers and partners.
Read here in our sustainability report what we are already doing and what we have set as our goal for the future.
Because we are convinced: “No planet, no beauty”.
JOIN US ON OUR JOURNEY
OUR PRIORITIES
At ANNY, we want to examine different dimensions of sustainability in business challenges. In other words, questioning and changing how we develop, produce and act. Because nothing outweighs safety and quality for us. Other musts include being brave, taking responsibility and setting challenging goals. After all: “There is no plan(et) B.”
THE QUESTIONS WE PONDER
In the coming weeks and months, we at ANNY will be examining the following issues more closely:
- How best can we contribute towards a circular economy?
- How can we use more recyclates going forward, without sacrificing safety?
- What can we avoid, what can we reduce, and where can we streamline even further?
- What is our carbon footprint and what can we do to reduce our emissions?
- How can we continue our social commitment?
